WATERLOO REGION — Federal Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff’s “Liberal Express” bus tour will make its stop in Waterloo Region Monday, with three chances for locals to meet the Leader of the Opposition.
Ignatieff will first stop at Tim Hortons inside the Cambridge Centre mall at 355 Hespeler Rd. from 1:30 to 2 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with locals.
The bus will then pull off to Kitchener, for a visit to The Museum on King Street East between 3 and 4 p.m., where he will chat with museum guests and visitors.
Ignatieff will kick off the evening with a barbecue at Bingemans Glen picnic area, hosted by the local Liberal riding associations from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $20 per person.
The Liberal leader’s nationwide bus tour started July 13, and will roll on until Labour Day, stopping in all 10 provinces and three territories.
