
Cambridge man charged with assault and forcible confinement after late-night incident

CAMBRIDGE — A 24-year-old Cambridge man has been taken into custody on assault and forcible confinement charges after police were called to a residence late Sunday night.
Waterloo Regional Police arrived at 930 Eagle Street North around 10 p.m. after someone called to complain about a man being assaultive.
The man had left the scene in a vehicle before police arrived.
When he returned, police arrested him. He has been charged with assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats and impaired driving.
The man is known to the victims.
He was to make a court appearance in Kitchener Monday.
